Heartbreak at Esher for M&C as our Men's 1XV lost out to a strong Guildforidans side at Finals day. In what was hugely close game, the match was within a point or two all the way. with some great tries scored by Corey Griffiths and Ryan Jones.
In the final 15 minutes, M&C went down to 14 men following a yellow card for a deliberate knock on. This extra man advantage proved too much and Guildfordians scored a breakaway in the closing minutes. Despite this, losing to a try against a side in the League above was a hugely proud moment for the club and those that played can hold their head high. A special shout out to our Away support who's was easily the most vocal of the day. Everyone at M&C should be immensely proud of themselves.
We'll now look to use this momentum in the next season. Anything can happen!
