Mitcham 1XV continued in their winning ways, beating a tough Farham side 18-5. Credit to Farnham for making the long trip across Surrey!

Despite a sluggish performance from the Green and Lavenders, Mitcham were able to get 7-0 ahead in the first 20 minutes, with Centre Paul Whittall being on the recieving end of a cross field kick. A deft second touch from Whittall sent the ball across the try line, allowing him to dive on the ball for the first points of the game. Mitcham then went 10-0 up before the half closed, thanks to a penalty slotted away by Fly Half Jacob Williams.

Mitcham were able to get their second try of the day in the second half, following a very impressive line break from No. 8 James 'Mammoth' Terrell, a quick ruck and for a impressive backs movement, allowing Whittall to get his second of the day.

The last few minures were tense, with the pressure mounting on Mitcham to retain possession. This was capitalised by a try from Farnham in the last few minutes. Despite this, Mitcham were able to clear the ball away in the last play, winning the game.

Mitcham's next game is away in the League against Croydon 2XV on Saturday 8th Feb, then at Home in the League on 15th Feb against Egham 2XV.

Come on Mitcham!
