We knew it was always going to be tough act taking on the so far unbeaten league leaders, but what a performance in the second half!
The first half started off very badly. Due to work commitments, a few M&C players were still turning up until after after kick off, meaning we weren't at the races at all. The first half ended approximately 40 - nil and a few players suspected a thorough drubbing was incoming.
However once the second half began and the game became more open, our backs were rampant, scoring again and again, racking up 36 points (more than any other side has done against Reigate this season). The last few minutes and Reigate were looking very nervous and had the game been another ten minutes longer, M&C might have even come away with a serious upset. But the despite our efforts, the damage was done in the first half and Reigate came up deserved winners.
A massive congrats to Reigate for their victory in the league - title winners! Best of luck in Surrey 4, hopefully see you very soon!
