A great win against local rivals Merton yesterday!
M&C got the scoring underway early with Fortie Moyo scoring on the wing in the first few minutes. The remainder of the half was an odd affair, with neither side really getting control of the game due to poor rucking disipline from both sides.
M&C started the second half well, scoring three tries in quick succession, thanks to tries from Luke Halford and a brace from captain Keith Parker. Complacency slightly crept in with 20 minutes to go, allowing Merton to get a try back. We however secured the bonus try in the last ten minutes with Tom Parker diving over in the corner.
Great to see two players make their debuts, Brodie McKay and Luke Wheeler! Welcome to the club lads!
A really physical game played in great spirit, looking forward to the return leg!
