Sadly M&C came up second best this weekend against a physical Merton side. In a match that had everything, M&C had to play with 14 men for an hour following a red card, plus disallowed tries (and re-allowed tries too) and plenty of handbags as fitting a derby day match.

Credit to Merton who took advantage of their chances better than M&C who couldn't quite click on the day. It's to be expected however with such a new side - 10 of the starting 15 players still in their first season for the club.
Rest up the bumps and bruises (I'm writing this with a strong black eye) and we hit training hard on Tuesday as we prepare to welcome Wandsworthians this Saturday!

Tries: G. Liyanage + Penalty Try

MOTM: Andy Scales - M&C were dominant in the scrum, helped in no small part by Andy. Plus some very strong runs.
DOTD: James Barker - 🔴 😱
